You can create a snippet i.e. a template of an email, pitch, invite, or social media update, assign it a shortcut, and then instantly insert it where needed by hitting ⌥⇧ Space on Mac or Shift+Ctrl+Space on Windows.
You need a Linguix account to use Snippets. Once the sign up is completed, you’ll be able to login to our web app. In the left-hand menu choose the “Snippets” menu:
Then either browse through our system snippets library or create your own custom snippet.
You can copy and edit any system snippet and assign your own shortcut.
After the snippet is saved, all you need to apply it on Gmail, LinkedIn, or any other website. To do this, install our browser extension (available for Chrome, Firefox, and MS Edge).
Once you’ve installed the extension, you can start using snippets on millions of websites. To apply the snippet, type your shortcut, and hit ⌥⇧ Space on Mac or Shift+Ctrl+Space on Windows:
Your snippet will instantly appear. You’ll need to fill in the gaps, make some corrections, but then you are ready to go!
I don’t remember my shortcut
Forgot your snippet’s shortcut? No problem, just hover your mouse over the Linguix browser extension’s tab in a bottom right corner of the screen and click the magnifying glass icon in the middle:
And the snippets library with a search tab appears! Now, it is super easy to find you snippet, even if you do not remember its shortcut:
Just browse it, choose the right snippets, and insert it. Even better, as you now have the Linguix extension installed, your snippet-based text will be instantly checked for grammar and writing errors.
Upgrade to use unlimited snippets
We provide our snippets as a free feature just as we do with both our grammar checking engine and our templates library. However, to experience the full power of snippets-fueled writing, we recommend upgrading to our Premium plan. This will allow you to create an unlimited number of custom snippets and insert them as many times per day as you need.
