Once you're logged into the system, you will be redirected to the Web App. The main screen of the App is Document storage. Here you can:
- manage your documents,
- edit sensitive content using Secret Mode,
- access snippets library,
- update your personal dictionary,
- switch preferred English dialects.
There are two options for editing your content: using Linguix Documents, or checking sensitive content using Secret Mode. You can create a new document by clicking the New button or choosing the existing document.
Linguix automatically checks everything you type, which makes it easy to find and eliminate errors. All recommendations divided in categories will be displayed on the right side of the screen in the Helper module.
To accept a suggestion, simply click on it. Do dismiss, click x in the top right of the bubble. If you want to flag an incorrect suggestion click the flag icon.
Linguix not only shows fixes and recommendations but features detailed rules explanations for the most critical mistakes. When you make such a crucial mistake, you will see a Show more button.
Clicking on this link will open a thorough explanation of the particular error with a corresponding language rule used to fix it. Also, there will be examples of correct and incorrect usage of the rule.
Writing insights and goals
You can also view your writing insights using the Statistics module. Here you will see stats for characters/words/sentences, as well as your readability score.
Another useful feature is the Audience tab. Once you have chosen these options as desired, you have set your goals on Linguix. The text that you then enter is measured against these goals, and recommendations are made based on the results.
Goals are not available in the Secret Mode. This mode is designed for editing sensitive content you would not like to store on our servers. When you use Secret Mode, Linguix checks your text and deletes it forever.
